Thank you for visiting our webpage, which provides details of our forthcoming public exhibition for the future redevelopment of Bath Bankside and contact information to provide comments on the scheme proposals.

Legal & General and Bell Hammer have been working together, in consultation with B&NES, to create a new mixed-use development that will transform the site with new employment opportunities, new homes, a hotel and new amenities for the local community and visitors to the city.

The Bath Bankside site (formerly known as Bath Quays North) is a significant redevelopment and regeneration project located adjacent to Bath City Centre occupying a key position in the Bath City Riverside Enterprise Area.

The current use of the Site is predominately as a car park and coach park, contributing negatively to the character of the Conservation Area and this part of the World Heritage Site. The adopted Bath Placemaking Plan, sets out the importance of regenerating this Site in order to bring forward a new mixed-use development.

Outline planning permission was granted in April 2019 for a mixed use development, to include office, commercial, retail, hotel and residential uses. Since then detailed designs have been developed to form part of a Reserved Matters Application to secure detailed planning permission.

We invite you to a public exhibition to view the emerging proposals for the Bath Bankside project in Bath City Centre to be held at the following times:

  • Tuesday 10th December 2019 From 12pm - 8pm
  • Wednesday 11th December 2019 From 10am - 2pm
The public exhibition will be held at:
